RUMAR

RUMAR is a Portuguese world-music and sonic-journey project by Rui Martins. Through ancestral instruments from Europe, Asia, Africa and South America, he creates immersive performances that invite deep listening and inner connection.

His signature solo show, Around the World in 80 Minutes, brings together sitar, Portuguese guitar, guzheng, saz, kora, khim, kalimba, percussion, singing bowls and harmonic singing, woven with subtle ambient electronic textures.

RUMAR has performed at Boom Festival, Ozora Festival, Icaros Festival, ZNA Gathering, Festival MED, Andanças and the Council of Europe. The performance adapts naturally to festivals, intimate venues and conscious and wellbeing spaces.

Every instrument becomes a portal — and every sound an invitation to travel within.
